2016 & 2017 Reflections, New Year's Resolutions, & My Most Popular Posts!
My goodness! It's been forever guys! I totally missed being on here and blogging over Christmas break (LOL, I'm still on it!) and I was so excited to write this post.
I went through A LOT of change this past year. Mostly at the end of this year actually. I grew and strengthened my relationship with God wayy closer than I ever was to Him- which is pretty amazing. I got to meet Aliyah Burton in July, and Karina of Merciful Moments in December, which was so fun and cool!
Two Septembers (in 2016) ago I started this blog when I had just learned photography. My photos weren't great but weren't the worst either. I also learned a lot of blogging techniques and later redeveloped my website this past year in 2017.
As you know, my grandfather passed away on November 23rd, 2017, leaving my family just hope and faith that he's in Heaven right now. I was miserable and grieving but never let go of my faith. It was the fourth loss of 2017 that I'd gone through, and I am so thankful that all those people are with Him now. I had never been interested in poetry, but somehow got hooked on it for writing poems in honor of him. I started a notebook labeled 'Poems For My Grandfather,' and enjoy and cry over writing them 🙂
My heart has changed. I've changed. I got my braces off on December 28th, and my ears pierced just today, January 3rd. I joked that half of my friends haven't seen me in a few weeks, and when they do, they'll be in for a shocker 😅
I set up a Youtube account for my blog and have had fun creating videos and learning videography. I'm definitely NOT the best, but I have fun anyways. I have shakey hands, so it's hard for me to videograph something usually 😛
Anyways... what are my New Year's goals? Here you go...
- Exercise More Often!
- Study His Word more!
- LEARN how to play violin!
- Blog more!
I've already started on half of those, and I'm actually going to DO them this year. By 2019 (ahhhh!) I'll hopefully have those accomplished, though some of them you can never get enough of 😀
The Most Popular Posts (Ever!) on Photography Phun:
|How To Use Photos This Christmas 2017|
Ha, one of the recent ones! But I have to say, I'm not posting anymore comments by Anonymous unless you have a name at the end of them, alright? I'm glad people enjoyed this one though, and it was my first post where I did a "gather-up" of other people's posts!
Aww, this one made me smile. Charlotte's changed a lot since I first met her as a little girl, and she's also the one who's mentored me in photography. We had a lot of fun with two photoshoots together this past year, and I am hoping for more in the future! Some may know her on the popular blog "Boyer Sisters," or at "B.Well," or even over at her photography business that makes me drop dead jealous of her photos! 😊
|Neighbor's Horses || Farm-Life|
One of my very first posts in 2016! Living next to a neighbor who trains horses to run in races was and is a dream for me! This two horses both have very special stories, and if you haven't checked out this post, you should here!
|A Lumberjack Birthday || + Cake!|
This doesn't surprise me! My Mom outdid herself on my Dad's cake (using a tutorial) this past year in 2017, and I had a lot of "WOW, IS THAT REAL?" comments lol 😅
|A Walk In The Woods || Photoshoot|
My dear friend whom I call Diana, (I'm Anne 😉 ), had me over one Sunday afternoon for a wonderful photoshoot and we had so much fun taking pictures of each other, nature, and her little sister, Arabella. It was a perfect day, and I was quite surprised this one made it into my most populars! Though I'm sure I shouldn't be surprised... 😊
So how was my 2017? Amazing, beautiful, heartbreaking, sad, and filled with growth in Him. That about sums it up!
If you all were wondering if I'm going to be blogging more- the answer is YES!! I have so much in store for you all... including a possible giveaway! Thank you all for your support, love and prayers these past years! If you want to follow along more closely, I also post on Instagram more frequently. 💙
Here's to 2018! 🎉
